Environmental awareness

We have a concern for our environment and the effect that we as a company have on it. We have put in place several ways to minimise the result of our environmental impact. Having always recycled our waste we are now taking this further and have reduced the landfill waste that we produce to one third the previous amount, despite increasing production. Our new equipment with sensitive monitoring improves quality and reduces waste. We have eliminated the use of alcohol in our printing machines and also use vegetable based inks, all helping our carbon footprint. A high proportion of our staff live

locally thus reducing the use of car travel.

We have gone through the process of accreditation for FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification). Both of these relate to Chain of Custody Standards connecting the consumers of printed material with environmentally responsible forest management practices that care for the world’s forests, its habitats and indigenous peoples. The UK has over 15,000 printers and we are one of only 300 that have this accreditation.
